Obviously, I had my baby, but I have meaning to document our mini babymoon in Palm Springs. After my mother-in-law threw us a wonderful shower in Arizona, Justin and I thought Palm Springs would be the perfect mini getaway for us to escape for a couple of days without spending a fortune. We had intended on going to Maui, but then we bought a house, so we settled for Palm Springs instead. I feel very fortunate that we were able to get away for a bit and bond before the baby arrives. We are so fortunate to be living in Los Angeles and being in such close proximity to the desert, beach, mountains, etc.
Before we reached Palm Springs, we opted to visit some tourist destinations that have been on our to-do list: Salvation Mountain , Salton Sea, and the Glamis Sand Dunes. On our way to the Ace Hotel and quickly realized how it would be our last time here before we become parents. We have stayed here numerous times and imagined how different our lives would be once the baby arrives. We were a bit skeptical about bringing our maltipoo, Herbert, but I am glad we did because he is part of our family and he was on his best behavior sunbathing near the pool. We ate delicious tacos at Reservoir and, of course, Kings Highway avocado toast for breakfast, yum. I had an amazing pre-natal massage at the Feel Good Spa and I just have to add that this place has the best customer service and massage therapists. Even though Justin and I have been to Palm Spring a handful of times, we never stopped to check out the Moorten Botanical Garden. I loved it here. There are so many species of cacti and succulents. We brought home some plant babies that we hope will flourish in our house for many years to come.
I literally wore this dress all weekend and my Nisolo sandals to keep me cool and able to move around.
